Came across this unique spike of flowers growing alone near a field of bluebonnets. The way the tiny petals fade from bright magenta to pale yellow is quite lovely. Decided to go with a bokeh background to emphasize the sharpness of the flower.
Does anyone know what this is called? I believe it might be a “Flamingo Cockscomb” or of the Veronica family.
